Vodafone Ukraine Launches 5G Trials with Huawei and Nokia

Vodafone Ukraine has begun 5G testing in three cities—Kropyvnytskyi, Ivano-Frankivsk and Vynnyky—working with Huawei and Nokia following approval from the national telecoms regulator (NCEC).

The trials are focused on evaluating 5G non-standalone (NSA) performance, comparing its spectral efficiency with LTE TDD, and assessing electromagnetic compatibility and deployment costs.

Huawei is supporting trials in Kropyvnytskyi and Ivano-Frankivsk, while Nokia is partnering with Vodafone in Vynnyky.
