Ancala acquires 300 Sites from PTI Ireland

Ancala has taken a decisive step into the Irish digital infrastructure market with the acquisition of 300 telecom towers from Phoenix Tower International (PTI). The transaction forms part of PTI’s divestment following its €971 million acquisition of Cellnex’s Irish business earlier this year.

The deal seeds TorLoc Towers, Ancala’s new tower platform and its first investment in Ireland. While financial terms were not disclosed, the strategic intent is clear: Ancala is building a long-term, independent tower operator positioned for growth.

Ireland’s tower market continues to expand, driven by rising demand for reliable, high-speed mobile connectivity.

Ancala expects TorLoc to play a central role in supporting MNOs and wireless providers as they scale nationwide network upgrades.

The sale was completed as part of PTI’s commitments to the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC).

Following its acquisition of roughly 1,900 Cellnex sites, PTI now retains around 1,600 towers across Ireland.

Ancala brings relevant experience from its previous investment in Fore Freedom, the Dutch fiber developer and operator.
