GI Partners to Acquire Digita Oy and IslandsTurnar

Digita Group (“Digita”) — comprising Digita Oy in Finland and IslandsTurnar in Iceland — has announced an agreement to be acquired by GI Partners, marking one of the most significant Nordic tower transactions in recent years.

As one of the largest independent tower companies in the Nordics, Digita operates nationwide portfolios across Finland and Iceland and plays a critical national role through its long-standing partnership with Yle, Finland’s public broadcaster.

Digita has been owned by funds managed by an affiliate of DigitalBridge Group (NYSE: DBRG). During this period, the business expanded from ~200 tower sites to more than 950, while also scaling its data centre and IoT platforms. DigitalBridge’s stewardship positioned Digita as a diversified digital infrastructure platform with strong forward momentum.

Digita will continue operating independently within GI Partners’ portfolio, leveraging its new owner’s expertise to serve clients at the highest standard and accelerate growth. The transaction is expected to close in Q1 2026.
