Hrvatski Telekom To Create New TowerCo
Hrvatski Telekom (HT) has officially begun separating its passive mobile infrastructure into a new, wholly owned tower subsidiary.
The move covers roughly 1,700 tower assets, which will now be managed through a dedicated infrastructure company.
After completing a full strategic review, HT concluded that transferring its passive infrastructure into a focused management unit would strengthen operational efficiency across the group. The carve-out is now moving through corporate approvals and is expected to be finalised in Q3 2025.
Majority-owned by Deutsche Telekom (53.5%), HT becomes the second DT-owned operator in Central and Eastern Europe to take this step, following OTE in Greece, which announced its carve-out earlier in 2024.
HT’s decision reflects a broader industry shift toward sharper business models, improved capital allocation, and modern, multi-tenant infrastructure platforms.
