PTI France in Negotiations to Acquire Infracos

Phoenix Tower International (PTI) has entered exclusive negotiations with Bouygues Telecom and SFR to acquire Infracos, a joint venture managing around 3,700 wireless sites across medium-density areas in France.

If completed, this strategic move would lift PTI’s French portfolio to nearly 10,000 sites nationwide, including ongoing build-to-suit developments.

PTI first entered France in 2020 to support the New Deal mobile rollout in underserved rural areas and expanded further in 2023 with acquisitions of dense urban rooftop portfolios. This potential transaction marks a major milestone: it would position PTI as a fully nationwide digital infrastructure provider across rural, suburban, and urban markets.

France is PTI’s largest market, and the sites in this deal are backed by long-term contracts with Bouygues Telecom and SFR. PTI’s leadership highlights the strength of these partnerships and the company’s commitment to enabling high-quality 5G connectivity across the country.

If finalized, this acquisition would reinforce PTI’s long-term strategy of supporting leading mobile operators with world-class infrastructure. On a pro-forma basis, PTI would own and operate approximately 33,000 towers across Europe, the U.S., Latin America, and the Caribbean—further solidifying its position as a global infrastructure leader.
