Aer Soléir's Rondissone BESS facility, planned for delivery in 2027, is positioned to become the largest battery energy storage system in Europe.
Secured through Italy’s Capacity Market auction, the 250 MW / 1 GWh installation will curb renewable curtailment, reinforce grid stability, and accelerate Italy’s national decarbonization targets.
With an investment of roughly €180 million, Rondissone marks the first deployment of Aer Soléir’s €1.5 billion planned capital investment in Italy.
