Africa50 to Double its AUM to $20 billion over the next 5 years

Africa50 is setting an ambitious target to more than double the value of its backed projects to $20 billion USD over the next 5 years.

The fund has already co-invested in 36 projects across power, transport, logistics and other sectors, with a combined value of about $9bn and will now focus on sectors with major investment gaps, including new power generation and transmission projects.

According to the African Development Bank Group, Africa continues to face an annual infrastructure financing deficit of more than $100bn USD.

By accelerating capital deployment into large-scale infrastructure projects, Africa50 will continue to serve as a key catalyst for job creation, economic growth, and high-impact development across Africa.
