Tusass and Eutelsat Strengthen Arctic Connectivity in Greenland

Tusass, Greenland’s national telecommunications provider, has signed a multi-year strategic agreement with Eutelsat to deploy OneWeb’s low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite connectivity across Greenland.

The partnership will deliver secure, low-latency, and resilient communications across one of the world’s most remote and challenging environments.

Using OneWeb’s polar-orbiting LEO satellites, Tusass will enhance connectivity for critical services including community broadband, maritime operations, mobility, and emergency response. The solution provides high-speed, low-latency coverage in areas where terrestrial infrastructure is limited or unavailable, supporting both everyday connectivity and mission-critical national infrastructure.

The deployment supports Tusass’s long-term objectives around digital inclusion, infrastructure integration, and sovereign connectivity. It also highlights the growing strategic importance of LEO satellite networks in strengthening digital resilience and ensuring reliable communications across the Arctic.

Together, Tusass and Eutelsat are enabling future-proof communications that support communities, critical systems, and national security across Greenland.
